Next week I’ll be chairing a session at the College Art Association Conference entitled, “My So-Called Second Life”…exploring the performance, pedagogical, and critical implications of Second Life.  The roster of panelists includes a wide array of SL-based perspectives and projects….from 2:30-5pm on Thursday, Feb. 26th in the ARTspace room at the LA Convention Center.  Hope to see you there:)

Hi from Dallas! This year’s CAA proved to be really eventful, and yes, stressful at times…but all in all it was a great time. The highlights for me: seeing Wyclef Jean at the airport; the “Immense Prints” session w/ printmaker Tom Huck, who was hilarious and inspiring; seeing Vernon Fisher; getting into the Martin Puryear exhibition before it opened; meeting Martin Puryear(!!!!! one of my heros !!!!); watching “Superbad” with friend/Associate Dean at a large University that will remain unnamed; barbeque; being a part of the “Push Play” screening in the MediaLounge at ArtSpace…”the conference within a conference”; and getting interpersonal communication tips from my friend John via Chuck Klosterman.
